I had the opportunity to study abroad right in the middle of central
London for 16 week during the Fall of 2002. Afterward, I took
a 2 week tour of central Europe. I sure did see a lot of
things, while meeting lots of really great people along the way. |

I got to live with 30 other people with my major, Social Ecology,
during the 2001-2002 academic year. Everyone was really nice.
Lots of ideas were exchanged during the year, and it was nice
talking with people who weren't stressing over a biology midterm all
the time. |

The concept of family and friend relationships is really important
to me. Although I've made great efforts to meet a whole lot of
people, what really matters in the end are the few strong
friendships I've created. Quality over quantity. "Meet
new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other
gold." |

I got myself to China with a couple hundred other UC students for a
couple weeks of sight seeing. I value unique experiences over
material possessions. My only concern about committing so much
effort to traveling is later forgetting what I've done. |

The first of many experiences invoking a desire for personal growth
and understanding. 2000 Chinese college go to Taiwan annually
for 5 weeks to learn about Chinese culture and interact with one
another. It was a really amazing experience. |
